Celebrating Growth: End-of-Term Exams at Kijiji Mission

This month, our students at Kijiji Mission completed their end-of-term exams. These assessments are more than grades. They reflect growth in confidence, skills, and knowledge

End-of-Term Exams at Kijiji Mission

We are celebrating, our students who completed their end-of-term exams, marking the close of yet another busy and productive season of learning. Exams are always a milestone for our students, but they are about much more than just grades. They are a chance for us to see how far our students have come in both knowledge and confidence.

A Week of Testing and Achievement

This term, the students were tested in a wide variety of subjects. They demonstrate their skills in knitting, showcasing the creativity and patience that go into turning a ball of yarn into a finished product. They also sit for computer theory and practical exams. Here, they are asked to demonstrate software skills and to troubleshoot basic issues. Business management exams give them the opportunity to apply their understanding of entrepreneurship and leadership. Health and life skills assessments focuses on real-life applications such as decision-making, communication, and personal well-being.

Confidence Beyond the Classroom

For our staff, it is always a joy to watch students approach these exams with determination and to see their pride as they realize how much they learn. One young lady lights up as she explains how she has mastered a computer program she had never touched before coming here. Another young woman proudly displays her knitted project, saying she never thought she would be able to make something with her own hands. Another shares how the life skills classes have given her the confidence to speak up for herself at home and in the community.

After the exams, the students return home for a one-week break to rest, reconnect with their families, and gather strength for the new term ahead. For many of them, this is also an opportunity to reflect on how far they have come and how much further they can go.

From all of us at Springs of Hope Foundation, thank you for being part of our students’ journey.
